Hi,

It’s been a while since I shared a project, and this one I needed to make as I have missed a birthday…
I was going to enter this into a blog hop, but missed the deadline for that as well…

The parrot, branch and leaf images are from the cute Bird Banter set, and the sentiment is from the fun Birthday Wit stamp set.

I used Stampin’ Blends markers to colour in the bird and branch leaves, and I have listed the colours below. I stamped the leaf image in Old Olive ink around the edge of the Whisper White panel, stamping it off first onto scrap paper, so that I have a lighter image. This is called second generation stamping.

The strip of dotty paper is from the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper stack.

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the word bubble sentiment onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock in Peekaboo Peach ink. I used to sometimes get patchy images with solid stamps, especially inking them up for the first time. Now I have the fantastic Stamparatus I can ink up the stamp more than once and stamp until I get solid colour – here I stamped it 3 times. I then fussy cut the word bubble out and mounted it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I’m sad to see that both Bird Banter and Birthday Wit are retiring soon. If you would like to purchase either or both of these stamp sets, just click on the images below and you’ll be taken to my online shop.
