Easy fun fold card to suit any occasion or theme

I created this card for a make and take at my monthly Aussie Crafters team meeting, showing a simple layout that can be used with any Designer Series Paper and any stamp set(s). It can be stepped up by adding ephemera or die cuts, or extra layers. It appear to be a simple card, but actually it has a front flap that opens like this:

I made this card to suit our Australian standard size. 

Measurements:

Night of Navy card base: A5 (14.8cm x 21cm) scored and folded to 14.8cm x 10.5cm.

Patterned Paper: 10.3cm x 10cm, 10cm x 3.5cm

Basic White: 10.3cm x 10cm for the inside, plus scrap for circle punch

Night of Navy: scrap for circle punch.

Instructions:

1. On the front of the folded card base, cut at 4cm from the right side to the score line. Adhere the narrow flap to the card base.
2. For the patterned paper, I initially cut a piece that was 10cm x 13.8cm. I then cut the 3.5cm strip from the right edge, and flipped it over to show the design on the back. Alternatively, you may wish to continue the design of the main piece to the right strip. Adhere both pieces to the card front.
3. Stamp the greeting on Basic White, punch out with a 1 ¾” circle punch. Adhere to a 2” circle punched from Night of Navy cardstock.
4. Wrap ribbon/trim around the front flap and secure with mini glue dots. Attach the greeting element with foam Dimensionals. Add some embellishments/gems for bling.

Variations:

• Change the size and/or shape of the focal point
• Add leaves/sprigs to peep out from under the focal point
• Use an embossed strip on the right instead of patterned paper
• Use ephemera in place of the focal point
• Substitute with whatever patterned paper and/or cardstock you have on hand
• Create your own patterned paper designs with stamps and inks
