Thanks for stopping by my blog today. It’s time for another Stamping With Friends blog hop! If this is your first time visiting my blog, welcome!

Our theme for this blog hop is CASEing the Catty (Annual/Mini). The idea is to choose an example from the catalogue and either reproduce it as is, or use it as inspiration.

I chose one of the card samples using the Welcoming Woods stamp set, on page 46 of the August – December Mini Catalogue.

I just love the colours on this one, blended with the Blending Brushes.

Here is my version:

I used the same colours for the main focal piece, which are Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy. I changed the orientation of the card, and on the embossed piece I dragged my Crumb Cake stamp pad over the raised areas so you can see the Bark texture more easily. I omitted the Brushed Metallic Cardstock piece that the artist used on the sample in the catalogue. I also used a different greeting from the set.

What do you think? Mine is a standard Australian sized card, A6, so the proportions are slightly different to the original which is the American standard sized A2 card. I’m happy with how mine turned out.

So now it’s time to hop on over to Xenia Stanford‘s blog to continue the blog hop.
