Thanks for stopping by my blog today. It’s been a while since I joined in with a blog hop, so I thought I would join in with this one with Demonstrators all over the world who take part in Kylie and Bruno Bertucci’s training program.

Here’s my card:

Butterfly Bouquet Triple Arrow card

I’ve seen quite a few cards made in this style lately, so I thought I would try it out using the gorgeous butterfly Bouquet bundle and the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series paper (DSP).

I started out with a card base 11″ x 5-1/2″, which I cut from a sheet of Thick Basic White (A4), and folded in half to make a top folding card. I cut a sheet of the DSP to 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″.

On the front I found the centre and made a pencil mark, then cut from that point to the top corners where the score line is.

I cut the DSP the same way, so that they would fit the triangles:

I used a dauber to sponge the edges of the paper with Just Jade ink to give more depth and used Multipurpose Liquid glue to attach them to the triangles and front flap of the card.

The next step was to attach the triangles to the front. I lined them up so when the card was closed the points didn’t go past the edges of the card. In the picture it looks like they go over the edges but that is because the flap is slightly open.

The second triangle was glued over the top of the others. I forgot to take a photo of that step, but you can see how they overlap in the finished card above.

For the inside I tried something different, stamping the whole background stamp of the butterflies in Memento black ink over a Post-it note that was put in the centre of the card as a mask.

When the Post-it note is removed there is an area to write a message to the recipient. I decided to draw a black line around the square. I didn’t use a rule, but decided to freehand draw the line with a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker.

For the front of the card I die cut the largest of the detailed butterflies from the die set and used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach it to the card. I stamped the sentiment from Tasteful Touches in Memento black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock and die cut it with one of the Tasteful Labels dies.

To finish off the card I used a Matte Black dot on the butterfly and a couple of Jade enamel dots from the 2020 – 2022 In color pack.

It didn’t really take long to make the card, and I’m happy with how it came out.

I hope you hop along and be inspired by lots of other Demonstrators taking part.

Happy stamping,
