Hi,
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.
Do you struggle with cards for the men in your life? This set of cards might be for you!
I always get requests from my class ladies to come up with masculine cards for the guys – without frills or fussy embellishments. I thought the World of Good suite of products would be good for “man cards”.
This card is inspired by one made by Kylie Bertucci.
For this card I used the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder to create a textured background panel for my stamped feature panel. I used Misty Moonlight cardstock and sponged the edges and some of the raised areas in Night of Navy ink. The images are stamped in Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy. I used the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch for the label, and some Cinnamon Cider ribbon for the trim. The greeting is from one of my go-to sets, Itty Bitty Birthdays.
For this one I chose one of the papers from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper pack, which is Cinnamon Cider in colour. I used Early Espresso for the card base and also for the greeting label. I used one of the Stitched Nested Labels dies to put the stamped and die cut globe on. After stamping the globe and stand in Early Espresso ink on Whisper White I decided the white was too stark so I sponged some Cinnamon Cider on it to give an old world look. I used the same treatment on the greeting label.
For this card I chose one of the new background stamps, Drybrush, to create a background for my focal image. I stamped this in Sahara Sand ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock, then matted it onto black, and the card base is Thick Very Vanilla cardstock. I die cut the globe and stand from the Copper Foil cardstock mat that is under the black piece. The greeting is from Itty Bitty Birthdays, and is stamped in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.
